A Day in the Life of a Professional Athlete

Ever wondered what it’s like to be an elite athlete? Me too… The other day I got to the opportunity to find out. I went to Lea and Sabra’s house to meet with Sabra and get some work done for Little Bellas. Sabra made a super healthy lunch (totally what I would eat at the dining hall, wink wink) of a caprese salad. We watched the US vs. Germany game together, and Lea asked if we liked the shorts she had just bought at Gap. Everything seemed very normal.

Wrapping Up 2014

The Little Bellas program have wrapped up for the 2014 season, and it is all but quiet at Little Bellas head quarters. Lea got third at the World Championships. This is her best result to date coming off hip surgery in January, this is an incredible feat and testimony that hard work pays off. We are so proud of her.

Everyone puts their pants on one leg at a time.

This week was pretty amazing. I’m using the same adjectives over and over to describe my experience. “Awesome”, “cool”, and “amazing” keep finding their way into my writing because in all honesty that is truly how incredible my internship is. On Tuesday, I attended a WISE (Women in Sports & Events) conference at Brooklyn Boulders.
