Former Little Bella Brings the Program to Bozeman
Little Bellas is introducing six (!) new chapters for 2022! More than any other year, these chapters help redefine "mountain biking" in order to get more girls on bikes, read on!
Forget getting more girls on bikes for a sec and meet Abigail Grab, a former Little Bella from Underhill, Vermont who now lives in Bozeman, Montana where she recently graduated from Montana State University. Abby’s experience as a Little Bella made such an impact on her that she took the leap to bring the program to Bozeman.
“I had the most incredible time being a Little Bella and I hope to use that to foster a similar experience in the Bozeman chapter,” Abby said. “I have experienced the Little Bellas mission in action which I hope to reciprocate in Bozeman.”
For Abby, getting more girls on bikes is personal.

Meet Abby Grab
When the student becomes the teacher, empathy and encouragement come naturally. Abby also has a degree in secondary education and has quite a few teaching experiences to bring to the Bozeman chapter of Little Bellas. She describes her teaching style as a hybrid of multiple techniques, and she finds that mixing it up and using several mediums to cover standards works well. Since no two Little Bellas are the same, Abby’s approach – as well as her history with the program – create a welcoming setting for all Bozeman girls between the ages of 7-13.
And with a name like hers – we’re not sure – but we think she may be a superhero in disguise.
Highland Glen Nature Preserve
Located southeast of downtown Bozeman, the Highland Glen Nature Preserve has all the elements for a Little Bellas program (large grassy field for games, miles of beginner trails, and intermediate trails for whenever anyone is ready to level up). It’s also easily accessible from most anywhere in the greater Bozeman area, never more than 10 minutes (20 minutes tops) away from most Bozeman points.
