Our Woodstock Weekly 1 Program is the perfect opportunity to get girls out on the trails and pedaling into the woods of Georgia.
The Woodstock Weekly I Program meets for five sessions at Blankets Creek Park and is open to girls of all abilities. Based around having fun, the program creates an environment to allow each girl to make new friends, ride trails, and play games, all while learning skills for the sport of mountain biking. Whether it's riding the small bridges and occasional roots of the Mosquito Trail series or venturing to the log crossings and berms of the Dwelling Loop, Blankets Creek offers the program the perfect venue fun and adventure.
Girls and Mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) ride once a week and participate in games and activities to help them build confidence and mountain bike skills in a progression. The girls will be given healthy challenges in a friendly, fun environment, both on and off the bike. This curriculum is designed to promote camaraderie among the girls, skill learning, and to perpetuate the love of mountain biking, all while having a great time! This program is for riding and fun and is not focused on competition.
Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program! Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.
Woodstock, GA Program Lead
Rachel has mentoring with Little Bellas since 2018. Wearing multiple hats, Rachel is not only a program lead but a mom to a son and a Little Bella of her own. Riding for over seven years, Rachel is a member of a ladies adventure racing team called 3 Bike Moms. She competes in events that can last anywhere from 8 to 36 hours of mountain biking, trekking, paddling and/or orienteering. When Rachel isn’t racing, she’s coaching for her local middle and high school mountain biking teams. If Rachel doesn’t fit the description of a super mom and super coach, I don’t know who would! Where does she get the motivation you ask? She is passionate about getting more kids on bikes, especially girls, because she has seen the growth in confidence and courage in girls through the years when they participate in Little Bellas and other programs she coaches. Having the opportunity to then see the girls a few years later as empowered young women, racing for school teams or out on the trails with their friends, Rachel knows without a doubt that her involvement is 100% worthwhile.
