Program Description

Registration Information

We want program registration to be easy and fair, so we will run this program's registration with a random selection process. Everyone will have one week to pre-register their participant(s) for Little Bellas. Pre-registration does not guarantee a spot, and we do not collect payment during the pre-registration period. After pre-registration closes, one of two things will happen: a) if the program is full or over capacity, we will use a random selection process to determine who gets in; those who are not selected will be placed on a waitlist or b) everyone who pre-registered will be accepted into the program and we will transition to our usual first come first serve registration to fill the remaining slots.

Program Description

Vermont summers are the BEST!  They may be short but there is so much fun to be packed in!  Kids are trying to soak up as much time and fun outside as they can.   What's a great way to keep kids outside and the fun and giggles going?  The Little Bellas Williston Weekly Program!

This is program and is geared for ages 7-13. We can't wait for Sundays!

This Little Bellas Williston Weekly Program was the very first Little Bellas program and has been running since 2007.  This was the place where we saw the positive and confidence building impact mountain biking, mixed with fun, could have on young girls.  The program is open to all abilities and meets five select Sundays at Catamount Family Center throughout the middle to late summer. Our goal is to create an environment where learning mountain bike skills, building confidence, and growing the camaraderie among young girls is centered around having fun.  Whether it's riding the pump track, racing a "slow" race, enjoying the flow of Pure Bliss, eating snacks, or working our way up to the views of Indian Lookout, Catamount offers the perfect mix of sweet riding and fun challenges ideal for this program.

Once a week, the girls and mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) will engage in different activities, rides, and games as a way to progress through a basic to advanced mountain biking skill set.  The girls will be given healthy challenges in a friendly, fun environment. This curriculum is designed to promote camaraderie among the girls, progressive skill learning, and to perpetuate the love of mountain biking, all while having a great time! This program is for riding and fun and is not focused on competition.

Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program!  Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.

Williston Program Lead

Celia Cote started with Little Bellas at age 9 as a participant in some of the earliest Williston programs! When she turned 14, she began Junior Mentoring and soon moved on to mentoring at age 18. With a grand total of 11 years with Little Bellas, she's more than ready to step into the Program Lead role! Not only is she a long time Little Bellas participant, she's also a long time neighbor of the Catamount Family Center. Growing up in Williston, VT, Celia and her sister would ride down the road to Little Bellas every day. These days Celia is a few minutes further away at the University of Vermont, studying Biomedical Engineering. She also a member of the UVM Cycling team, participating in Mountain Bike, Cyclocross, and Road events! Outside of her busy school and cycling schedule, Celia loves to Nordic ski, backcountry ski, hike, and explore Vermont's hidden swimming holes! If you can believe, she somehow also finds time to bake cakes and pick berries from her garden. Celia has a huge passion for getting more kids and women on bikes and is so excited to join Little Bellas in her latest role!
