Program Description
Registration Information
We want program registration to be easy and fair, so we will run this program's registration with a random selection process. Everyone will have one week to pre-register their participant(s) for Little Bellas. Pre-registration does not guarantee a spot, and we do not collect payment during the pre-registration period. After pre-registration closes, one of two things will happen: a) if the program is full or over capacity, we will use a random selection process to determine who gets in; those who are not selected will be placed on a waitlist or b) everyone who pre-registered will be accepted into the program and we will transition to our usual first come first serve registration to fill the remaining slots.

Program Description
Is there ever not a great time to ride in California? The Little Bellas Salinas Weekly Program is a great way to get girls out, riding trails, having fun, and building confidence in a positive way with other like minded girls!
The Salinas Weekly Mountain Bike Program offers eight recurring sessions at Toro Park throughout the season. This program creates a fun, positive environment where each girl can make new friends, learn new skills, and build confidence. We focus on having fun, using game and different activities to teach and working on basic to more advanced mountain bike skills. Whether it's riding to find clues in a scavenger hunt or riding the pristine trails of Toro park, the girls build confidence in their riding skills and in themselves!
Once a week, the girls and mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) will engage in different activities, rides, and games as a way to progress through a basic to advanced mountain biking skill set. The girls will be given healthy challenges in a friendly, fun environment. This curriculum is designed to promote camaraderie among the girls, progressive skill learning, and to perpetuate the love of mountain biking, all while having a great time! This program is for riding and fun and is not focused on competition.
Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program! Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.
Salinas, CA Program Lead
Rebecca is from Lake Tahoe where she grew up as a multi-sport enthusiast playing amongst the mountains and forests- to no surprise, she continues to thrive today with most of her time spent outside. Most days you can find her biking on Salinas single track with Toro Park trails being at the center of her enjoyment and bike skill development. She has been riding most of her life, but really kicked it up a notch since the beginning of the pandemic and has taken home medals for racing cross country and enduro races at the Sea Otter Classic and the Ashland Mountain Challenge! Biking has become a sport of great purpose for her in generating a sense of progress and building confidence as well as wonderful friendships. The sport has led to many fruitful relationships within the Salinas community and continues to be a catalyst for amazing opportunities in her newly established life on the Central Coast. When not riding bikes you can find her repairing fences and trails at Toro Park, where she is an active and regular volunteer. She also loves to hang out with friends while soaking up the local culture of food, music and crafts! Rebecca joined Little Bellas in the Spring of 2022 and felt instantly aligned with its purpose of building stoke on the trail and encouraging girls of all ages to feel comfortable and seek progress on the trails and beyond. She firmly believes that she wouldn't be where she is today without it and looks forward to seeing what the sport can do within others' lives as well!
