Program Description

Registration Information

We want program registration to be easy and fair, so we will run this program's registration with a random selection process. Everyone will have one week to pre-register their participant(s) for Little Bellas. Pre-registration does not guarantee a spot, and we do not collect payment during the pre-registration period. After pre-registration closes, one of two things will happen: a) if the program is full or over capacity, we will use a random selection process to determine who gets in; those who are not selected will be placed on a waitlist or b) everyone who pre-registered will be accepted into the program and we will transition to our usual first come first serve registration to fill the remaining slots.

Program Description

The days are getting longer and snow lines on the mountains are getting higher! Kids are still in school and the perfect after school activity for them? The Little Bellas Park City Wednesday Weekly 1 Program! It's the perfect solution for getting out and burning some energy in a fun, confidence building way!

The Park City Wednesday Weekly 1 Mountain Bike Program offers five recurring, Wednesday night sessions, splitting sessions at Trailside Skills Park, and Quinn's Junction during the season. Trailside Skills Park is the perfect setting for learning new skills. Not only do they have a one-mile, well-groomed, single track trail, they have a top-notch skills course! Start with the balance beam, then the ramp. Take your choice of berm corners or the gnarly stairway.  The program uses Quinn's Junction for their end of session ride, to mix things up a little bit! Whatever the level or ability of rider, the program is based around having fun and creates an environment to allow each girl to make new friends, ride trails, and play games, all while learning skills for the sport of mountain biking.

Girls and mentors (we mentor, we don't coach) ride once a week and work on a mountain bike skills progression through different activities, rides, and adventures. These girls will be given healthy challenges in a friendly, fun environment. This program is for riding and promoting a love for mountain biking and is not focused on competition.

Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program! Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.

This program is supported by a grant from the Solomon Fund of Park City Community Foundation.

Park City Program Lead

Megan grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula where she learned to love outdoor play. She learned to ride bikes with her parents specifically on the back of their tandem during many bicycle tours! Megan moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for a job in 2012 and evidently hasn’t left. In addition to all sorts of biking, she likes to run, nordic and alpine ski and hike with Lottie Dog, her cute black lab pup. If she’s indoors you’ll find her nose in a book or smelling the sourdough bread she just baked and to clarify, baking sourdough was a hobby she adopted pre-pandemic! Girlfriends have always been an important part of Megan’s life and she loves that Little Bellas creates female social support and inclusion. Megan’s favorite food might have to be hot wings and penguins are by far her favorite animal on the planet.
