Summer's coming!! The kid's classic question, What are we doing today? will happen and parents need to be prepared. We have the perfect remedy to quench this curiosity and answer this question. The Little Bellas Half-Day Mountain Bike Camp!
Held at The Trailhead at Theodore Wirth, this Half-Day Camp is an all-girls mountain biking camp offering a great progression in mountain biking skills for all abilities. It incorporates both basic mountain bike skills and mechanics, with trail riding and games. We focus on having fun, playing lots of games, and finding adventure on the trails. Making new friends, learning skills, riding some sweet trails, and laughing our way through the mornings are all top priorities!
Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program! Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.
Inclement Weather Protocol: In the event of lightning and thunderstorms, we will not cancel program days. Instead, programs will move inside to a pre-determined lightning safe structure and will continue camp activities indoors.
Minneapolis, MN Program Lead
Valerie has had a love of cycling for a very long time. Although she enjoys all disciplines of riding, mountain biking was definitely her first love. Understandably so! Along with being a Little Bellas mentor since 2016 in the Woodbury, MN Program and a program lead in Lakeville since 2018, she is also actively involved in her area mountain bike community and other programs whose focus is supporting youth and women's leadership in her community. Stepping into the Lead mentor role for a camp program is a natural next step and Valerie is super excited to continue spreading the message of getting more girls on bikes! And although bikes are her first love, she also loves partaking in winter sports (I mean, it's Minnesota so....) like nordic and alpine skiing. Valerie is all about getting involved as much as possible and experiencing life!
