We want program registration to be easy and fair. We are transitioning all programs to a three week pre-registration period. With this new system, everyone will have three weeks to pre-register their participant(s) for Little Bellas. After pre-registration closes, one of two things will happen: a) if the program is full or over capacity, we will use a random selection process to determine who gets in; or b) we will transition to our usual first come first serve registration to fill the remaining slots.
We hope this new process will ease some stress and help create a more fair registration system for all Little Bellas girls and families. See more information on our blog here.
Spring is an amazing time in the Bay Area. Awesome weather means there are hardly any rain days - so the trails are dry and the riding is fantastic. The Little Bellas Marin Weekly Program is a great solution to help kids get out on their bikes, finding adventure.
This Marin County Weekly Program is an all-girls mountain bike program, meeting on five select Sundays in China Camp Park throughout the spring. The program is for girls of all abilities to play games, learn mountain bike skills, and build confidence in a fun, safe environment. Gentle, rolling terrain, beautiful scenery, and more challenging trails to amazing vistas all combine to make the mostly singletrack of China Camp ideal for all levels of riders.
The girls and Mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) participate, each week, in a variety of activities, trail rides, and games. It is through these games and different activities, we focus on using different elements to teach and working on basic to more advanced mountain bike skills, all while the girls are having fun! This curriculum is designed to promote camaraderie among the girls, progressive skill learning, and to perpetuate the love of mountain biking, all while having a great time!
Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program! Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.
Marin County, CA Program Lead
Carolyn's happy place is being outdoors. When she moved to San Francisco from Australia she fell in love with mountain biking on the local Marin trails and mountain biking has been a big part of her life since! She loves trying out a new trail, either locally or traveling to a new destination with her riding buddies for an action packed weekend of riding. Every trail offers something a little bit different, both in terrain and scenery. When Carolyn isn't mountain biking, you'll find her playing tennis, rock climbing, hiking, stand up paddling, or sitting at the top of a hill enjoying the amazing view. She loves seeing others take on the challenge of trying a new activity for the first time and then watching the gradual improvement and the smiles it brings.
