Program Description
Registration Information
We want program registration to be easy and fair, so we will run this program's registration with a random selection process. Everyone will have one week to pre-register their participant(s) for Little Bellas. Pre-registration does not guarantee a spot, and we do not collect payment during the pre-registration period. After pre-registration closes, one of two things will happen: a) if the program is full or over capacity, we will use a random selection process to determine who gets in; those who are not selected will be placed on a waitlist or b) everyone who pre-registered will be accepted into the program and we will transition to our usual first come first serve registration to fill the remaining slots.

Program Description
Summer weather is perfect and the riding is awesome in Colorado! Kids have been been playing, having fun outside, and don't want it to ever end! The Little Bellas Weekly 1 Program is the perfect way to keep the fun going and keep them active and outside.
The Little Bellas Weekly 1 Program, meeting at Bear Creek Lake Park, offers 5 recurring sessions, allowing each girl to make new friends, have fun, play games on and off their bikes, and learn the skills of mountain biking. With Bear Creek Lake Park lending itself perfectly to this program, girls can experience an offering of winding single track by the creek or both short and long uphills ending in amazing views overlooking the park. These attributes combine to give any and all ability of rider healthy, fun, and challenging ways to work on skills and build confidence.
Girls and mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) ride twice a week and during each session, play a variety games and ride a variety of trails, as a way to help them learn skills for mountain biking. Each day and subsequent week progressively builds on the skills learned the previous day and week but in a fun and challenging way. This program is for fun and the joy of riding and is not focused on competition.
The Amy D Sessions, a collaboration between the Amy D Foundation and the Little Bellas, is dedicated to preserving Amy Dombroski's memory and sharing her love of cycling. We aim to honor our long-time friend by inspiring the next generation to love the sport as Amy did.
Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program! Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.
Lakewood, CO Program Lead
Maggie grew up playing outside in Virginia - hiking, biking, paddling, backpacking - anything to be outdoors! She has been riding bikes since she was a kid and gradually transitioned from road to 'cross to mountain. While she loves her own outdoor adventures, sharing that passion with others has always been Maggie's favorite part of being outside. For a decade, Maggie worked in outdoor education, helping to pass a passion for the natural world on to the next generation. She loves sharing not only biking with Little Bellas, but also the joy of exploration, wonder, and curiosity and building up each participant as an individual. When not on her bike, Maggie is likely cleating up to play ultimate frisbee, sewing, or hiking.
