Program Description

Registration Process

We want program registration to be easy and fair, so we will run this program's registration with a random selection process. Everyone will have one week to pre-register their participant(s) for Little Bellas. Pre-registration does not guarantee a spot, and we do not collect payment during the pre-registration period. After pre-registration closes, one of two things will happen: a) if the program is full or over capacity, we will use a random selection process to determine who gets in; those who are not selected will be placed on a waitlist or b) everyone who pre-registered will be accepted into the program and we will transition to our usual first come first serve registration to fill the remaining slots.

Program Description

Summer's coming!! Although the trees might be a little bare now and the trails are little leaf covered and muddy, the kid's classic question, What are we doing today? will happen and parents need to be prepared. We have the perfect remedy to quench this curiosity and answer this question. The Little Bellas Half-Day Mountain Bike Camp!

Held at Bear Creek Lake Park, in Lakewood, the CO Half-Day Camp is an all-girls mountain biking camp offering a great progression in mountain biking skills for all abilities. It incorporates both basic mountain bike skills and mechanics, with trail riding and games. We focus on having fun, playing lots of games, and finding adventure on the trails of Bear Creek. Making new friends, learning skills, riding some sweet trails, and laughing our way through the mornings are all top priorities!

Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program!  Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.

Inclement Weather Protocol: In the event of lightning and thunderstorms, we will not cancel program days. Instead, programs will move inside to a pre-determined lightning safe structure and will continue camp activities indoors.

Do Your Part for our Park!

Little Bellas needs your help fostering a positive relationship with Bear Creek Lake Park. Since we can’t offer a program in this area without access to this park’s incredible trails, we’re sharing options for how you can spread good vibes at the park as part of our Little Bellas Community:

Purchase an Annual Pass Online in Advance. Display your pass in your vehicle window to bypass the long wait lines at the venue, support your local park and stay and play during and/or outside of Little Bellas programming for a whole year!

OR
Drop Off / Pick Up is FREE for all Little Bellas families. Plan ahead and arrive early to wait in line at the gate. Please abide by Little Bellas’ honor system and the park rules: if you don’t pay at the gate, be sure to exit the park immediately after drop off.

OR
Purchase a Day Pass. Plan ahead and arrive early to wait in the line at the gate.

Parking Note: Please park in the parking lot as no parking is allowed on the side of the road.

We appreciate each of you for doing your part for our park.

Lakewood, CO Program Lead

Dawn came into mountain biking in her twenties, in the same way many women "discover" mountain biking: she got together with a group of other like-minded ladies who were out to seek some adventure on some mountain trails. She was hooked. And in Colorado? Outdoor adventures a-plenty! A native of Colorado, Dawn has and does jump into as many things outdoors as possible, paddleboarding, hiking, yoga on rocks, camping, fishing, skiing, and pickleball, which we assume, doesn't actually require a pickle. All this while being a mother to 5 daughters and 2 sons, in a combined family, and a grandmother (we don't believe it) to 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters and being a Little Bellas mentor for two years and now Program Lead! Get this woman a cape.
