There's still plenty of summer and great fall weather left to get some awesome riding in! Sure, the trips to the Shore might be coming to a end as the beginning of school comes around but it doesn't mean outside fun and activities have to stop! Once school starts, kids are going to be looking for a break from all the classroom time they're putting in during the week. There's no better way to get them outside and moving than the Little Bellas Blackwood Sunday Program!
The Blackwood Sunday Program offers eight recurring, Sunday late afternoon sessions at Camden County College Trails throughout the spring. This program creates a fun, positive environment where each girl can make new friends, learn new skills, and build confidence. We focus on having fun, using games and activities to teach and develope basic to more advanced mountain bike skills. Whether it's riding to find clues in a scavenger hunt, navigating an bike skills obstacle course, or riding the flowing trails Camden County College, the girls build confidence in their riding skills and in themselves!
Once a week, the girls and Mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) will engage in different activities, rides, and games as a way to progress through a basic to advanced mountain biking skill set. The girls are given healthy challenges in a friendly, fun environment as a way to build confidence and enhance skill learning. This curriculum is designed to promote camaraderie among the girls, progressive skill learning, and to perpetuate the love of mountain biking, all while having a great time! This program is for riding and fun and is not focused on competition.

Kristin would like to claim she didn't grow up as an athlete. This may be true but watching her ride now, no one would believe it. She started mountain biking in college and knew, from that moment, life would be different now. Although she would consider herself more of a roadie, #roadiesrule, she loves getting together with other woman and ripping some trails. Working in the education field, she helps organize and oversee programs to make sure kids get the most out of their education as possible. And Kristin strives to get the most out of her life by camping, hiking with her dog, and being outside as much as possible. Unless the occasion arises to be inside so she can knit her cat a scarf. Yeah, this happens and it's amazing!
