Program Description

It's time for fall!  Cooler weather is here, and who isn't ready to get out and play in the woods, in the fields, anywhere outdoors?  A great way to get kids outside and active?  The Little Bellas Augusta Weekly Program!

The Augusta Weekly Program offers eight recurring mountain bike riding sessions throughout the fall.  Open to riders of all abilities, the focus of each session is fun, allowing each girl to make new friends, learn new skills, and build confidence, all in a positive, fun environment.

The girls will benefit from riding an incredible trail network! Whether it's riding through a color powder tunnel or playing bike limbo, the program strives to create an environment built around having fun and learning the skills of mountain biking.

Meeting and riding once a week, girls and mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) will participate in various activities, rides, and games all as a way to work on a mountain bike skills progression. The girls will be given healthy challenges to test and grow their skills but in a friendly, fun, safe environment.  This program is for riding and fun and is not focused on competition.  Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program!  Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.

Augusta, KS Program Lead

Leading this program is girls’ and women’s mtb community-builder extraordinaire, Amber Simon! Amber believes in being your own hero, eating Swedish fish at every chance you get, and she is sure (to her bones!) that bagels are better than donuts. She’s a full-time working mom and a part time shredder with her adventure partners, husband Quincy and daughter Ava (9)! If you can’t find her on her bike, you'll likely find her slinging kettlebells at the gym or on the couch crocheting with a big cup of tea. She prioritizes inclusivity and body positivity and can’t wait to get your Bellas on bikes!
