It's Spring! Temperatures are getting warmer, the snow is mostly staying in the mountains, and warmer weather sports are coming back to mind. Kids may still be in school but the nicer days are making those classroom days seem a little longer. The need to get outside and expend their energy gets stronger and what better way to burn off early week energy in a fun, confidence building way than the Little Bellas Tuesday Mountain Bike Program.
The Tuesday Program, meeting at Bear Creek Lake Park, offers 5 recurring sessions throughout the summer, allowing each girl to make new friends, have fun, play games on and off their bikes, and learn the skills of mountain biking. Bear Creek Lake Park offers the perfect combination of winding single track by the creek or both short and long uphills ending in amazing views overlooking the park. These combine to give any and all ability of rider healthy, fun, and challenging ways to work on skills and build confidence.
Girls and mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) ride once a week and during each session, play a variety games and ride a variety of trails, as a way to help them learn skills for mountain biking. Each week progressively builds on the skills learned the previous week but in a fun and challenging way. This program is for fun and the joy of riding and is not focused on competition.
Scholarships are available so please communicate any financial help needed by thoroughly answering the questions about her or her equipment needs when registering.
The Amy D Sessions, a collaboration between the Amy D Foundation and the Little Bellas, is dedicated to preserving Amy Dombroski's memory and sharing her love of cycling. We aim to honor our long-time friend by inspiring the next generation to love the sport as Amy did.

- Name:Karen Goodman

Karen has spent large portions of her life on bikes. Ever since she received her little blue, banana-seat bike when she was eight, she's never looked back. A Colorado native, she enjoys all the spoils the state has to offer, from telemark skiing to trail running to swimming to just eating pineapple on a warm, sandy beach. Okay, CO is not ripe with beaches so she takes any chance she gets to travel and ride her bike around the world. When not outdoors, enjoying her passion for riding bikes, she spends her time as an instructional coach in an area school, fulfilling her other passion of working with kids. For Karen, Little Bellas has allowed her to combine her two favorite things, working with kids and riding bikes. And it's a win-win for everyone involved!
