Bittersweet Women’s Weekend

Rasputitsa and Little Bellas team up to launch the Bittersweet Women’s Weekend presented by Colavita

Rasputitsa, the esteemed spring gravel cycling event, and Little Bellas, the mountain bike organization whose goal is to help young women realize their potential through cycling, today announced the opening of registration for an all-women’s outdoor recreation event, Bittersweet presented by Colavita.“Rasputitsa has been a long time supporter and partner of the Little Bellas organization.  We are excited to bring the camaraderie our mentors feel from the Little Bellas program to a larger female audience.  We want to generate a comfort with the outdoors and positive conversation through a weekend of fun VT exploration,” notes Sabra Davison, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Little Bellas.  The February event, limited to the first 50 registrants, will focus on challenging each participant, growing camaraderie, and initiating conversations key to growing female outdoor participation.   Participants will be able to select from a range of outdoor and indoor activities including cross country skiing, fat biking, snowshoeing, yoga, skimo, and more.

In effort to focus more on recreational cycling and charity events, the Colavita Women’s Team will not only participate in the event, they will communicate the healthy living lifestyle through sponsoring the event and supplying quality food synonymous with the Colavita name.  A Colavita inspired mobile brick oven pizza van will even be on-site and the weekend will culminate with a pasta/wine dinner around an outdoor bonfire."Colavita is ready to reach a broader scope of people through more than just bikes and racing.  This unique all women’s event is just one of the many ways we’ll begin this adventure as we go on tour in 2018. It’s exciting to be able to work alongside Little Bellas and Rasputitsa to jump start this new concept of reaching like minded people,” remarks Mary Zider, Director Sportif Colavita| Bianchi p/b Vittoria Women's Pro Cycling Team.

The weekend event will take place at the Northwoods Stewardship Center in East Charleston, Vermont with facilities that include a large conference building with kitchen, dining and meeting areas, a log cabin classroom, 30km of hiking and cross-country ski trails and access to nearly 2,000 acres of woods, fields, ponds and streams.

Registration opens November 23, 2017 at 8 am.  Limited to 50 women.  https://littlebellas.regfox.com/bittersweet-womens-weekend
